The sight of completely used up, empty product bottles is so satisfying. While it is very easy to finish up shampoo bottles or maybe a moisturizer, I find it extremely hard to completely use up my makeup products. I always promise myself to first finish up my old makeup and then buy any new products. But we all know that never happens. I have been saving my empty bottles since the past 2-3 months for this post. I have, inadvertently, thrown away a few things only to later realize that I have a post to do.
Last weekend my husband and I were in Goa for our anniversary. Even though It was a short 3 day trip we had a lot of fun. From gobbling down sea food like there is no tomorrow to chilling at the beach shacks, partying, relaxing spa sessions, dancing with a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary, it was all great. We also tried some places this time and loved them. We also saw a movie because we had some time before our flight back to Delhi. On this trip I carried with me a small cross body bag to keep my essentials. The bag is from Zara. It was the perfect size, neither too small nor too big. It fit everything nicely and also it went perfectly with all my outfits. Read on further to see what was in my bag.
I cannot believe how fast this month flew by. It was just a few days back when I was putting my 2015 favorites list. And here I am now, writing about my January Favorites. I don’t have too many makeup items this month, but more of skincare products. Delhi wasn’t too cold this year, but I still felt the need to hydrate my skin more than what I usually do. So here are the products I have been loving in January:
This is the second part of my 2015 Favorites series. In my first post I featured My 2015 Makeup Products (read full post here). This post is all about the skin. I do not try out too many products for my face, so most of the products mentioned here are probably my all time favorite skincare products.
It is quite essential to change your skincare routine with the change in season. In winters, skin is more prone to getting dry and flaky. Most of my skincare routine essentially remains the same during summers and winters, however I switch up some products here and there so as to ensure my skin remains moisturized through out.
I cannot live without lip balms. I need to have a lip balm on me all the time. That’s because I have very dry and chapped lips. Whether it is summer or winter, my lips always are flaky. I keep applying lip balms every few hours and especially before going to bed. Needless to say I have tried most of the lip balms available in the market. So here are my top 5 picks:
Exfoliation is an important step in your skin care regime that most people tend to skip. It is just as important as cleansing your skin. Dead skin often leads to clogged pores which in in turn leads to acne and dull skin. Regular exfoliation aids in getting rid of the dead skin and smooth and healthy texture. That doesn’t mean that you should exfoliate your skin every day. Over scrubbing would result in irritated skin. There are a lot of options for exfoliators, depending upon you skin type, available in the market these days. But today let us talk about the The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator.
